Julio Ortiz – Point Guard | Age 15 Julio Ortiz has been playing organized basketball since the age of 5, but his love for the game started even earlier, playing at home as a toddler. Born in New York, Julio grew up inspired by the creativity and toughness of New York street basketball, shaping his competitive and fearless style of play. After moving to Florida in 2023, Julio continued developing his game by playing AAU basketball and competing at the YMCA. This past season, he earned a spot on his high school JV team, gaining valuable experience and continuing to elevate his skill set. Julio prides himself on being a two-way point guard who brings energy on both ends of the floor. He focuses on strong defense, smart ball distribution, and creating opportunities for teammates while also being able to score from beyond the three-point line or attack the rim for layups. Driven, competitive, and passionate about the game, Julio is committed to continuing to grow as a player and leader on the court.
